He could still in his older days outdo all subsequent black comics, and all subsequent white comics - bar maybe those few who were inspired by him and developed their own style to bring comedy into the new millennium.

Definitely the carrying force of 70's-80's black humour.

RIP.

I've only just heard about this... Again, another comedy legend lost. I'll have to track down 'Stir Crazy' and watch it in his honour.

Oh Bollox - for once I'm genuinely gutted to hear of a V.I.P. death. Seriously funny guy who was overshadowed by Eddie Murphy for no reason that I can see - Pryor was way ahead in my eyes.
Let's face it, if I didn't exist - you'd pay someone to have me invented.

Eddie Murphy said that Pryor was his idol especially all the "taking a shit" routines he used to do. :lol:
