2009 - Loopz Meetup Party ? - 20 years Orbital birthday!

Next year will be 20 years since Orbital released Chime and its been a long time since there was a mass meetup. Anyone out there interested in attempting some form of meetup/party getogether for old times sake?

Just got a notification on myspace that new (old) tunes were up on the Orbital profile on that network.

I have the CD albums still, but it had been a few years since I'd played them. ...But just now, listening to The Girl With The Sun In Her Hair really reminded me of being 18 and full of hope and energy once again.

Now I'm 32 and full of cynicism and apathy, so it was nice to be taken back.

A meet in Holland sounds good. I could just about scrimp and save the funds to get there, buy some good weed, smoke it, and get back.

I'm not famous or anything though. Would I be allowed to come still? You see, I've only just joined this forum, and so I'm not sure if the unspoken rule is that you're supposed to have a glamorous career in the music business or something before you can attend meets.

this is pretty timely...
a few weeks back, fans (including myself) started "bidding" for some get-together at this US site:

a one off get together is great but there are folks all over who want to celebrate 20 years. i'm in southern california and know oribital could easily do a 3,000 to 5,000 person show here. probably even fill the LA forum given how legendary the band is and how strong an influence orbital has been here.
