Chime Helium Mix?
I recently picked up a copy of the FFRR Gold On Black cd expecting to find this mix, except that there's no mention of "Helium Mix" anywhere on the sleeve, and the track itself sounds - to my ears at least - very much like an edit of the original 12" (track runs for 7 mins 50 secs).
Can anyone tell me what I've got here? Is this really the Helium Mix? And if not where can I find it?
Cheers for any help!

Well, the timing of "Chime (The Helium Mix)" is actually 8:53, and the name of the mix is actually stated on the physical CD as such. In addition, the Helium mix has a unique keyboard rift going through it. Indeed, a number of the mixes on the scan you've submitted differ to the UK release (e.g. D-Mob, 1 World, etc) - see the discogs entry for more details.
Here's a scan of the UK disc:
The one you've got sounds as though it's the US version (which I don't have - see the discogs.com entry on the vinyl), and does indeed sound as though a different (edited) version of the 12" mix of Chime was included on this release if, indeed, it sounds similar to the 12" mix?

Ah, that would seem to clear it up then. Cheers!usernick wrote:The one you've got sounds as though it's the US version (which I don't have - see the discogs.com entry on the vinyl), and does indeed sound as though a different (edited) version of the 12" mix of Chime was included on this release if, indeed, it sounds similar to the 12" mix?
