Haven't got round to listening to it yet, seems all tracks are "featuring someone" which is not a good sign, is this a "pop" album like they did back in the early 90's. Are they short of cash?

There were some decent mixes on the EP they put out last year that held some promise for the new stuff.

You've hit the nail on the head for me - very uninspired album.

I got this today... reserving judgement for the meantime but there does seem to be a lot of vocalists which concerns me too

The Roots Manuva tune is rather good. But then I think the guy is a gibbering genius anyway.

I keep hearing mediocre comments about this album everywhere... Still, I'll get it and check it out for myself. Coldcut will always have a hard job topping 'Let Us Play' anyway...

Let us Play was a fantastic album.

And they set up one of the best ever record labels too.

Respect.

I reckon it's always been about their live show to be honest anyways.

At the time of Let us Play, they were pretty much untouchable in AV terms. I know they're trying to achieve the same advances (live) this time around.

I'm also lucky enough to be supporting them at the Oxford Zodiac on Friday 17 Feb, if anyone's local and fancies it?

I have to say I like it quite a bit. I've been listening to it a few times and I think it's really good, albeit very different from Let Us Play.

The other act who's reportedly releasing soon a new record full of "featuring [name singer here]" is DJ Shadow and this is something that scares me a lot. I'll give it a chance, but its better surprise me or else... :?

Its not too bad actually.

Some tracks I will probably skip but I think I may grow to like it...
