They don't, really, (i.e. play live) - miscued drums (not in time with backing tapes), etc, etc...

Of course, they could have improved with age, and don't rely on backing tapes any more, but I doubt it... :P

In fairness, I saw them during the summer here and I really enjoyed it. But there are still a fair few mates of mine (rockers mainly) who would say using samplers and sequencers and tracks isn't playing live anyway, even if you do play something live over them on a normal instrument, but sure we've all heard those arguments.

Yeah, all those electronic guys do is press buttons anyway.

& All those rockers do is pluck strings..... Or is there more to it maybe?

Unless you've 'experienced' Royksopp "live" then you really won't know what the joke is...

Even the guys from Bent took the piss about Royksopp when I last saw them ;)
