SMASHED HAT
Smashed Hat is international DJ partners-in-crime Neil and Jon (Mixylix/Mish Mash/Club UK/Wakestock) bringing you tough and chunky underground house grooves through their love of technology, synthesisers, decks and effects. A live set brought to you by combining laptop, turntable and live synth wizardry for a very different but very essential performance.

KEROUAC
Mashing together electro, techno, underground house and oldskool breakbeat, Kerouac’s music is “pure visceral underground dancefloor funk” drawing comparisons to Layo and Bushwacka and the Plump DJs. Taking influence from the beats, bleeps and tweaks of Acid house, it's that same outlaw spirit of “experiments through sound” which informs Kerouac’s live outings. Using an all hardware set-up comprising of sequencer, sampler, synth, analogue filter and FX, Kerouac’s sets feature original material interspersed with specially concocted remixes, such as Inner city’s classic “Good life” and A Guy Called Gerald’s “Voodoo Ray” which have proved to be live favourites.
After a number of guest appearances at Liverpool’s “Instereo”, we’re proud to welcome him back to Disfunktional.
DJs for the night will be Andy Munro and Si P.
Andy Munro was awarded the inaugural Bedroom Hero title in July 2004’s Mixmag magazine winning a set at Goodgreef. Andy will be playing house music classics old and new and all things electronic.
Si P
The keyword with Si’s DJing is variety. With Si on the decks, expect the unexpected with a everything from house, breakbeat with the odd rock rarity to get the dancefloor going. As Si says “Music is there to be enjoyed, whatever the style! It has no boundaries! Feel it, don't think it!” and we’re inclined to agree with him.
Entry will be £4. Doors are from 9-3AM
Hold tight, things are about to get Disfunktional.
