Just watched Fast and the Furious Tokyo drift, proper testosterone filled nonsence which i just LOVE! Quality stuff, any film with a 67 Shelby Mustang has my vote!

Got Hard Candy to watch tonight...

The Veilside Fortune kitted RX7 FD still gets my vote as sexiest car in the film, but the RB26 engined 'Stang is sweet.

You're a bloody trainspotter Dog!!! lol!! :D

Just watched Hard Candy...pretty good movie that but spent the first 20mins trying to work out where the hell I'd seen "Hayley" before...finally worked out she plays Trina, Jim Layhey's daughter in Trailer Park Boys...she sure knows how to dish out retribution!

Last film I saw? 'Casino Royale'

All I'll say is... Sean who?!

Best Bond film ever made. Seriously!

Films

Post by jessopjessopjessop »

I've had something of a mini martial arts season this week:

Ong-Bak

Having wanted to see this for a long time, I was both pleased and disappointed. Disappointed that it was actually rather silly, had a parchment-thin plot, some of the humour was cringeworthy, and the bad guys are like arcade Beat 'Em Up rejects.

But it still remained exactly as entertaining as I expected it to be. Baby-faced Tony Jaa is an amazing athlete, and blow me down if I didn't backflip into bed after watching it.

Warrior King

Casino Royale had sold out, so I rented this instead, following on nicely from 'Ong Bak'.

It's darker, better directed and slightly more complicated than Jaa's previous movie, and although no masterpiece, is enjoyable and surprisingly moving.

It features possibly the longest continuous steady-cam fight sequence ever committed to film, which was quite outstanding. The combat, obviously the main attraction, is inventive and thrilling for the most part, although credibility was stretched at times when it felt like watching your mate play a video game.

Mission Impossible 3....not bad, not great, not forgettable, not memorable...
