An MP3 (or AAC) Compressor/ Volume maximiser NEEDED

I just got one of those new sony walkman phones and my major niggle with it is that sony are really scared these days to have any sort of decent volume on their walkmans, I guess due to health and safety reason.

Full volume these days is pitiful, so I need a standalone MP3 compressor/ volume maximiser (for those savvy with sound forge) to make my MP3's a lot LOUDER, rectifying the silly sony maximum volume, and making my mp3's a lot easier to, you know... hear.

Any suggestions?

I don't know if my MP3 plug in for Sound Forge is working or not yet.. suppose I'll find out soon enough.

I like the mp3gain results I've heard so far though with the testing what I done.
