Really? I get about 5-6 gems a day, probably because I'm Felyne and I do activities in certain towns and places that score me gems. I'm not hurting in the gem department, especially after the truckload I've spent on various things.
I personally think gold in the tens of thousands is more difficult to achieve, especailly when you have spend that gold on weapons, armor, healing and other assorted specialities during the first half of the game.
That's why I love the casino, baby!

The same goes for me ... I just keep spending my gems on silly things, ''Oh yeah, lets give the lady a gem'' ''Let's throw a gem in the sea'' ''Let's throw a rotten onion'' ''Let's get a new unicorn'' I have plenty of gems and plenty of gold, no complaints in the gold and gem department. I did however try to kill my husband earlier on ... I failed.

Ok so really Gems are not a problem but there is way too much gold in the game. Economy needs sorting. Steps will be taken...
