I think we've had this before, but what the heck...
First album and single purchased.
Single = the excruciatingly embarrassing Two Little Boys by Rolf Harris
Album = the barely believably cool Slider by T Rex

Album = The Muppet Show Album

The first album I remember buying was Like a Virgin by Madge.
I think my first single was either "The Stutter Rap" by Morris Minor and the Majors or it was Yazz and the Plastic Population "the only way is up"

First single (I *think*) was "(This Time) We'll Get It Right" by the 1982 England World Cup Squad (backed with "We'll Fly The Flag")
First album was either Madness' "The Rise & Fall" or Ultravox's "Quartet", although it could have been the Ludwig children's LP (about an egg who could play a violin)!

First single was Starman by David Bowie.
First album Bolan Boogie by T Rex.
Nuthin' to be ashamed of there!

Single : Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Two Tribes
Album: (not counting a dodgy compilation album) Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasuredome
The only thing I didn't have back then was a RELAX T-shirt ... you know, all white with large black characters on it.

First single (as I've posted here before) was definitely Ghost Town by the Specials, I remember buying the 7" (only vinyl back then!) in Woolworths in the Arndale centre!
But first album bought is harder. Think it was either Michael Jackson - Off the wall, Complete Madness or Duran Duran - Rio
