What a damn good question (both of which are live versions) - presumably live in the studio, or were they from gigs?

I think it was just "live" in the studio. I.E. no days worth of fiddlin gwith the tune it was just done as a one off. Like how Acid Pants from the Blue Album was done.
I might be wrong though. Loopz will know better probably.

Yes, v. interesting.
It makes a little sense alright. as I have always felt that in tone and construction Midnight was more like the 1st Peel sessions than the rest of the album.
'Tis funny that they got the live tag line though. I thought that a live recording was in front of an audience
This also begs the question, is there any more like this?
