explosions in London

Just heard about the explosions in London. Tube has been closed down following a "major incident". There is a bus explosion as well.

Trying to get some info on this myself.
Have heard nothing on the radio all morning so the media seem to be playing it down....
Time to contact my London friends.....
Its hard to get a scale of this without seeing the news.
Yahoo news stated the following
"An explosion has "ripped a bus apart" just minutes after a number of blasts on London's Underground.Scotland Yard has confirmed there has been an explosion on a bus in Tavistock Place. Union sources claim there have been reports of blasts on three different buses."

I was meant to be in London today to go to the New Designers show to keep an eye out for any prospective young student design talent (ahem and for employment!
)...dont think i will bother now the entire tube network is closed...
Apparently they dont think it was anything suspicious (or at least perhaps thats what they want us to believe). The bus story is unconfirmed and the blasts have been attributed to a massive electrical surge...no matter what its all pretty dodgy to me...one person was quoted that they saw "bodies on the line". Not good.

Hey guys - all Londoners okay? I work near Liverpool Street, and it's pretty manic. I'm trying to track down my London friends right now. Most people at my office are okay.

Similar incident in Brighton (according to Radio 5)...?
("Clarification on Brighton - appears the station has been closed as a precaution, no report of any actual explosions")
