Ticketmaster.ie

Genuinely surpised at the speed of that. I was given the option of collection if I so wished.

I thought there would be more interest in this, tbh. This event is an all dayer about electronic music, including workshops, interviews and discussions, culminating in orbital. I'm sure there would be some on here who would fancy this. Que pasa?

Yes it was very disappointing to see how little promotion down here there was of it. As so happens I couldn't go up before evening anyway but a few heads I know down here who are into this stuff hadn't heard a thing. Technically a different country but 'tis only eighty miles up the road ffs.

Extra encore of Belfast? Because of the location?

And I heard it again at the after show party! and it got as good a reception there as it did earlier. Great night, its good to meet fellow orbital fans, everyone really friendly and the boys in good form. Slightly disappointed they didn't have their full live set up though.

Yeah, what's with the lap-tops? Are all those racks of sound generators, sequencers and all just for show?

Top, top night by the way. Albert Hall was amazing but Ulster Hall was very, very special. My wife heard Orbital live for the first time last night and loved the gig (just as well really). All the tunes rocked, New France, absent from RAH, sounded great and the Doctor was back with a new hard step break! (Sure aren't all the kids doin' it). I realised I don't know how to dance to hard-step- I think I was pogo-ing at one point, though I can't be sure. No Crime on Chime, probably to make room for the Belfast reprise. Are We Here/ Calling Occupants brought smiles all round- I had the missus well primed, she's a big Carpenters fan. The atmosphere was just electric, thank you Belfast for making what could have been a good night into something wonderful. :applause

I don't know if they're just for show - but I think they sound better with the full live kit plus they're always busier and I like to watch them. I couldn't make RAH (big regret), but was this really better than there? I know where your at with your missus, I took mine to her 1st gig at somerset house 2002, but while she enjoys the spectacle, she doesn't get the music. Pity no crime on chime, I love that and you're right - great atmosphere.

I said Dr? had a new hardstep break but now I'm not too sure. Hardstep is like DnB isn't it? What sort of genre is Basshunter with that syncopated Dum de Dum de Dum rhythm? Swing-techno? Answers on a postcard please.
