It's not so much the taking control bit as the subsequent arrogance and petty-mindedness. Haven't heard much in a while about the feud but I have always had the impression that if Mr. Waters wasn't so full of himself that a reconcilliation would be possible. I think most Floyd fans realise that together the whole was more than the sum of the parts, but this is not gonna happen again

i missed the floyd, not that i'm a fan - were they as good as you'd hoped then?

Oh yes, especially as I thought I had missed them, but RTE's broadcast was 15 mins. behind the Beeb and I got home just in time

Watching Live8 on Saturday night, I noticed many looks between Dave Gilmore and Nick Mason that made me wonder how much was actually brushed under the carpet...
I still loved every moment of it, to hear Waters sing on Comfortably Numb was great...and Wish you were Here was just fantastic.
