There's these, but they've been out of stock since I bookmarked the link a few weeks ago. Yes, I've been looking for them too! According to the band in Mixmag, try a hardware store, although they'll probably have a picture of a guy inspecting a u bend on the packaging!

That's the old style headlight glasses.

These (or one of the other Nike ones) are the base for their new glasses I think. They've just removed the lenses and attached lights to them somehow by the looks of things. http://www.visiondirect.com.au/designer ... .html?sd=1

I thought they looked suspiciously stylish in the Maida Vale video!

I'd make my own, but may end up looking like the guy from 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids'!

I was watching the Boiler room set and at a few points the Lads turned around to the crowd and just illuminated them.

So, they're brighter than I expected.

yesterday, i ordered two mini Maglite Solitaire, which have only 8cm lenght. need to buy some glasses and somehow i will put the lights on and am ready :)
but i fear the lights can be a little bit disrupting on someone, so i will mute them somehow maybe.

The glasses being used at the moment are Nike Diverge (EV0325 002) and the torches are Fenix LD01 - quite a pricey bit of kit for a bit of fun/fan antics?

The original type (I think) are a black version of these yellow Work Lights by Uni-lite - discontinued, I think but I saw some on ebay for £2.75 each - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNI-LITE-Hand ... 5ae5e2b869

Otherwise, there are these in black on ebay from Hong Kong for £7.23 each -

Enjoy and I'll give you a flash in Manchester and London if you're going  :)

How did you find out about the torches? Looks like you're right about the Nike glasses.

Paul said recently that their lights flash now as well and I'm sure I've seen them just switch the lights on and not twist them on. Wonder if someone has created a way to attach them properly or if they are still just gaffer taped on?

They look pretty solidly attached these days. They had someone custom make the new ones before the 2009 tour. I recall an interview somewhere where they had just picked them up from whoever did it and wouldn't show them off to the journalist!

I've got several black pairs of the old style glasses. Agony on the nose without some padding. Bloody bulbs die in about 5 hours as well! I wouldn't be without them at festivals though - makes going to the loo MUCH easier!

As I'm a sad bugger for detail, I studied the freeze frame footage on the Maida Vale vid. You can clearly see some of the FD01 detail including the flats of the hexagonal part of the circular barrel, the cut out and recessed back end of the torch. Also white writing that could read "Fenix LD01" albeit blurred on the telly. They also appear to use a chrome pen type clip (no gaffer tape) but how this is then fixed to the arms of the glasses I can't see and it looks like a thinner/neater version than that supplied with the FD01...

And here's really sad - the glasses appear to be matt or satin black - not the gloss black as supplied by Nike :!: - and no, I don't work for the cops  :)

I saw that too, on the Mixmag video they were flashing at one point but can't explain - perhaps it's a mod or different torches were used.

I bough some last december from http://www.dealextreme.com/p/craftsman- ... -aaa-19556 the post took a while though, but try this place
http://www.sourcingmap.com/bright-led-n ... =ukfroogle
or google craftsman illuminator. You will need to get some proper batteries though to get them to light up properly

They aren't LED though are they despite what the first listing says? I'd love 'em if they were - those bulbs are rubbish! I may have to do some DIY on them and install LEDs.

Jof did a pretty good DIY job on the last pair I saw of his. We always had the Unilite ones. Time for an upgrade now though I reckon!
