This is unofficial but it's a nice extended mix almost.

I enjoyed 2 and 3 but 1 I thought was horrible.

Ah well, horses for courses Matt.
The first mix I heard of New France (the radio edit) was good enough, cold in content yet brash and sure-footed in execution.
Two and three of the re-mixes addded warmth and a more melancolic feel to it.
The first re-mix just had an awful clanky noise at the start and into the first build that just set me teeth on edge. The closest noise I can describe it as is a broken cast iron pot being repeatedly dropped onto an anvil. Not much of an analogy I know, but it's the best I could come up with. The second half of the track was better but that noise came back in towards the end and I still detested it.

I'll have yet another listen and maybe it'll grow on me but I kinda doubt it.

Just my own cloth-eared opinions of course.

Had another listen and it still doesn't float my boat at all. Ah well.

I want new official and good remixes!

It's OK the official one but still not quite there..it's no Plump DJ's Mix of Funny Break that's for sure!

Tom Middleton? Where? I googled for it, but I don't find anything, just the awful L-vis mix.

Not sure if the Tom Middleton remix actually is a real remix or not. Seems like someone might have just put some names together (from the last 20 remixes) and the stuff that was already out (i.e. Straight Sun). The link where we saw the list is here...

I hope Straight Sun will be a remix, not just the original version on the EP. Loopz said, there will be a remix of another track with the New France mixes.

So The Hydraulic Dogs Remix is official. It's not bad, but nothing special. But far better than the L-Vis mix.
