MYLO - THE SUMMER SEASON
New single 'Doctor Pressure', album re-release and live dates

Following the release of 'In My Arms' (Mylo's third consecutive top 20 single), next up its 'Doctor Pressure'. It's an awesome bootleg mash up of Mylo's anthem 'Drop The Pressure' and Miami Sound Machine's 'Doctor Beat'.

Originally spliced together by two cheeky chaps from Brighton, and with Gloria and the boys giving a thumbs up, it has now been given a re-jig by Mylo himself. Mylo's Doctor Pressure will be released on the 15th August 2005.

The biggest party record of the past twelve months gets even bigger!

Mylo comments, "I first heard 'Doctor Pressure' when I was doing a gig in Brighton a few months ago and Phil and Dog came backstage to gave me it on CD. It had been quite a while since I had heard a good bootleg but I thought it was absolute genius from the first listen. I'm obviously biased but for me it's up there with the Richard X's 'Whitney vs. Kraftwerk' one or even possibly the ultra-sought-after Celine Dion "My heart will go on" vs. Sigur Ros! The serendipity started piling up after that - I had signed a deal with Sony BMG so it turned out to be easy to clear. I did my own version of the bootleg, then we found out that Hexstatic had stuck the two videos together, which (astonishingly) both had a theme of randy doctors and nurses. After that it seemed only right to give it a proper release...."

Mylo's debut album 'Destroy Rock & Roll' has sold over 150,000 copies in the UK. A special version of the album will be re-released on August 23rd featuring three new tracks: 'Doctor Pressure' the Tom Neville remix of 'Destroy Rock & Roll' and live favourite 'Soft Rock'.

Nice one - Mylo doing his own version sounds like a bit of a cheeky way to rob you of a few royalities though?

Thanks folks, totally made up :D We won't be making a fortune out of it or anything like that, just pleased to get the recognition for it. The record company have been really good about it actually, I'm sure they could have fcuked us over if they'd wanted but instead we're getting the credit for it and our mix on the release. And the video by Hexstatic too! :D

This is just great.
I'm well happy for Phil and Dog.
I remember when Doctor Pressure had its debut at the concorde last summer and it went down a storm! Woo!

Lets get it to the top position, have a decent choon at the top of the charts for once. :D
