Gui Boratto - Take my breath away

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Gui Boratto - Take my breath away

Post by memly »

Has anyone heard this album?

A bit of Brazilian Electronica is just what we all need...

If so what do you think. I love it. Minimal yet melodic and quite retro too.
Quite simple, but effective none the less, it definately has soul. Lots of white noise and sidechaining going on, but I have found myself humming these tunes all the time.
It has that quality that Orbital has; in that you can dance to it and you can sit back and get caught up in the melodies.
I suppose its classed as minimal House/ Techno... I cant keep up with genres anymore, so thats why I have created Latinimalectro. And Gui is the purveyor of this new type of genre.

I thoroughly recommend this for people who like their beats minimal (and quite retro) and like a good melodic hook...

Jesus!

I bet you listen to it and say its shit just to spite me now...

Have it your way people, I try my best to inject this forum with some new and like-minded music, and I get nothing in return, NOTHING!

I am almost ashamed to part of this community now. I feel so let down, you and your empty promises, why is life like this? Disappointment after disappointment.
When even your virtual buddies let you down... you know its time to take a look at yourself.

I know, I know, I just feel let down Dave.

I wil get over it in time, but its hard when people let you down. I just feel really really let down. Things will get better and I understand this, but having been so drastically let down by the two of you I just dont know whether I can carry on....

Its sad, so very sad.
They say that time is a healer, and eventually I may grow to forgive you both. But this is a long way off and I need the mental scars of being so drastically let down (in public too) to be healed proper. Then I may be on the road to recovery.
It will be a struggle, but I must soldier on. I have been let down before, but never in the public gaze like this...

Even the guilt trip didnt work then?

Oh well, your loss. I listened to it last night whilst "entertaining" and all I could think about was how Dave n Dave have missed out.

I also see Mr Hippy has left you to take the majority of my incessant moaning... hmmm.

I've just tried to stream it from Napster and now remember that I did look before and it wasn't on. There are quite a few EPs though - I'll check them out.
