Your 20

Had quite a few discussions about the tracks featured on 20 over the last few weeks. Thought it would be interesting to see what forum members would have chosen for their 20 tracks. To make it a bit more interesting, chose 3 artists to remix 3 orbital tracks. The remixers i submitted without tracks was
Tom Middleton
Ulrich Schnauss
& Plaid
(and Autechre...)
My 20 was more or less what came apart from having Impact on cd 2 (remind live was my last track). Also i don't like the Herve mix at all....it's terrible.
So pick your 20 and your 3 remixers....

4 Lush (Euro Tunnell)/Walk About
5 TGWTSIHH
6 The Box (Part 2 from the EP - one with the creaking chair at the start)
7 Halcyon (Radiccio Version)
8 Oolaa (remixed by Orbital)
9 Attatched (remixed by The Orb or FSOL!!!)
10 Transient (Paul's Ideal Condition rework)
11 Impact (Phil's Long Range rework)
12 Farenheit 3D3
13 Time Flies (Slow)
14 Analogue Test 09! (nice to update the original as it was 90)
15 Satan (Renegade Soundwave rework)
16 Mock Tudor (Plaid rework)
17 Monorail (Kraftwerk rework)
18 Tuesday (New Orbital version of Sunday or Monday....)

Tssk... some people have no taste

I quite like it, dumb and loud..
My 20 then. In no particular order
Forever
Illuminate (12")
Nowhere to Run
Remind
The Box Pt2
Choice
Times Fly (fast)
Chime
Style/Bagpipe Style (Live)
Oolaa
Halcyon (live 09 version)
You Lot
Doctor ?
Pants
Klein Trink Wasser (cant be arsed to spell check, but you get my drift)
Adnans
Nothing Left (Tsunami One Remix)
Belfast
Satan
Meltdown
Actually looking at my selection, I think that will be in track order.
Now for remixers......
I think:
Trentmoller could rework Klein Trink Wasser
Krafty Kuts could liven up Forever
Richie Hawtin could have a crack at Belfast
And I would also let Justin Robertson do something too, but there is a cap on the remixers....
Much better than Shadys attempt.

you fail as you are not following the rules! :p
3 remixes only by OTHER artists . lol
also the tracks on
each CD are (or ALL were) in chronological order of release, regardless of whether it was mixed or live. The mixaround on end of CD 2 wrecked it but if you look it's only the last 3 tracks.

Hmm...
Forever (Glasto '94)
Midnight (UK album version)
TGWTSIHH
Semi-detached/Attached (Peel Sessions)
Lush/Impact/Remind (exactly as they are on the Brown Album)
Halcyon (no Bon Jovi as the idea of that shower of gobshites getting anywhere near royalties leaves me cold)
Transient
The Box (Ideal Condition version with the hammered dulcimer as it left me almost in tears)
Kein Trink Wasser
Waving Not Drowning
Beezlebeat
Tootled
Technologicque Park
P.E.T.R.O.L
Know Where to Run.
Belfast
One Perfect Sunrise
Talvin Singh to re-mix Forever
Phillip Glass to re-mix Belfast
Butch Vig to re-mix Tootled as that is a great bass-line that they really could have done so much more with.

Loopz; are you allowed to have a couple of other remixes by OTHER artists if they already exist? And then stick to the 3 NEW OTHER artists remixes only? If so then here is my attempt:
(If there can only be 3 OTHER artist remixes total then i'll amend it)
DISC 1
Son Of Chime (Live At The Brain)
Belfast
Satan (Rhyme & Reason Instrumental Remix) - this would only be possible IF Orbital actually just have this remix still in parts and could just take the vocal off of it. Always wanted to hear this version stripped of the rapping. [this is NOT a new remix by the group 'Instrumental'].
The Naked And The Dead
Lush (Eurotunnel)
Impact (Live From Royal Albert Hall)
Forever (Remixed by Trentemoller)
Dwr Budr
Nothing Left (Tsunami DJ Dub) - only previously available on promo vinyl
You Lot
DISC 2
Oolaa (Remixed by Orbital)
Choice (Live Tribal Gathering 1997) - as heard on Loopz Radio Last Day Broadcast.
Halcyon (Tom Middleton Re-Model)
Remind (Live from New York)
Walk Now (Remixed By Josh Wink or Hardfloor)
Sad But True (Live ISDN Night Radio One March 1995) - great John Major "New Age Travellers" samples.
The Box (Vocal Version AKA Pt 4)
Way Out
Funny Break (Live Docklands Arena 2000) - this is one of the few times that the original Version of Funny Break got played live and Radio One must have it recorded as they broadcast some of the rest of the gig.
One Perfect Sunrise (Stereo 8 Remix) - previously only on vinyl
Plus as you can see mine actually does follow in chronological order.
Other artists that might make some interesting remix options; Slam, Chemical Brothers, Phil Kieran, Justin Robertson and Richie Hawtin.

Although only by original realeases... if you take into account the dates they were played live then this fails miserably.
Mine is still better though!
"Satan (Rhyme & Reason Instrumental Remix) "
I dont think I have ever heard that.
It has rapping on it?? Eurgh I can smell the cheeseyness from here.
I suppose it doesnt help that I have an image of that guy from SNAP! doing the rapping; Turbo B I think his name was.

It was on the Satan remix 12'' it was "Satan (The Rhyme & Reason Vocal Mix)"and it had a guy rapping on it. I hated it when I first heard it but it has sort of grown on me over the years but I always loved the version of Satan that was underneath all the vocal, if there exists an Instrumental version of it I think it'd be quite good. So this might just be me wishful thinking like
