Well our appetite's are well and truely whetted with the awesome Tom Middleton Remodel of "Halcyon" (check his myspace page for more), and I've mentioned a James Zabiela Remix has just been given approval and Tongy mentioned "Twenty" - a retrospective album out on June 8th, which is where the aforementioned remixes are probably going to appear.

So we have an album coming out with what looks like some interesting tunes.

Come on Loopz, put us out of our misery.

I wonder if there will be an exclusive track from Orbital themselves!!!

"Orbital release a retrospective of their work this summer complete with new remixes of some of their biggest tracks.

Celebrating twenty years at the top of the dance music tree, Orbital 20 compiles stonewall classics such as Chime, Belfast, Funny Break and Satan.

Mixes come courtesy of Tom Middleton (Halcyon) and Herve (Lush), with live versions of Impact and Rewind.

Paul Hartnoll said: “This compilation is the most definitive summary of our work since ‘Chime’ came out in 1989 … it's a great introduction, or a reminder, of the story so far.”

The Hartnolls play the Big Chill (August) and also have a gig lined up at Rock Ness (13 June)."

Shady, where did that list come from?

So if that's the track listing where is the James Zabeila remix? Will there be a single released with some of the new remixes including Zab's one? Plus apparently the Zabs remix is not an obvious track that he's done.

The iTunes version comes complete with three extra remixes – James Zabiela's mix of 'Impact', the Tom Middleton take on 'Halycon' and the Herve remix of 'Lush'.

I reckon a single with the Zabs remix of "Impact" on one side and Middleton's "Halcyon" on the other would be a great idea.

I don't like the idea of the Zab's remix only being available on crappy iTunes.

It also doesn't make much sense, as according to the tracklisting above, both Tom's mix of Halcyon and the remix of Lush are on the CD versions of the album....

I'll be honest, if the tracklisting is correct I think it's pretty shabby.

Why have Impact on there twice?
Belfast - why not the Sasha remix?
Sad But True? - Good track but hardly a career highlight...Chime Crime/Transient/You Lot/Out There Somewhere Part 2 would be better,no?
No new track to celebrate 20?
No new reworkings of any tracks by Orbital?
No 3rd bonus limited edition disc with unreleased stuff/more remixes.

I guess that these things are always subjective, to me this could have been a stonker but it's pretty meh if the info's accurate.
Must be getting cynical in my old age....
