I just have to say it here too. This album is just amazing.
With just that one album Kangding Ray entered at 3 in my last.fm overal artists

It's this one:

And this is his website:

http://www.kangdingray.com/tree/start.html

With this album, my faith in electronic music is restored.
Where his previous album was a just "normalish" minimal / ambient bleeps, this one has analog sounds, hints of instruments and layers! like unions!
And it's from the Raster Noton label, so it's even high class
While on that note, Also check out Alva Noto's Xerrox Volume 2. It's better than Vol. 1 :P

Last note:
I bought this thing for 30 euro's:

A Commodore 64 SX.
it's a "portable" (23 pounds heavy) version of a C64 with build in screen.
Awesome yes!

That's about all.

now to find out how to get other programs on there... I don't have a 5.25 floppy drive on my computer and i'm not really keen on typing a couple of hundred lines of basic just to get cybertracker on there :P

has it got a serial port like a normal c64? (not a standard serial port like pcs have, but a round din-plug one) - if so you can build (or buy off ebay) a lead to connect to your pc, then run a prog on your pc so it pretends to be a floppy drive and the 64 can load stuff off it...

plenty to choose from here - there's software listed lower down the page too, you want to pick one of the ones that acts as a fileserver.
