Quite a nice tune but very bland IMHO.....
On early impressions of the brothers work, it appears that Paul's got the tunes and Phil's got the beats.....

apparently promos are out, and both sides are good.
this is just from a discussion on another message board, no hints where to find said promos, but at least you know they're out there if you scour hard enough.

From Hardcore Beats:

Got some big news today. You guessed it: New HB & Rat Promos now in stock at http://www.hardcorebeats.co.uk A very
limited amount, so get in quick, not officially released for another 4 weeks:

***********************************************************************

HB014
A: Ed209 vs Long Range (Phil Hartnoll & Nick Smith) "DR. HOOVER"
AA: Ed209 & Ken Mac "UNITED STATE OF MIND"

Major Coup alert! Phil Hartnoll! Phil Hartnoll!

Orbital’s Phil Hartnoll has a new band, "Long Range" comprising of himself and Nick Smith. They’re currently
working on their debut album, far-reaching in styles and moods, from ambient to up-tempo, hence the "Long Range" moniker.

In between bouts of DJ-ing breaks all around the world, Phil & Nick got in touch with Ed209 about a possible collaboration,
after being frickin' amazed by his previous productions. The result is quite honestly the best record ever made. A perfect
harmony between druggy, high-pitched musicality and big, tear-out bass and beats. Rough with the smooth.

‘Pon the flip, Ed joins forces with Breakbeat’s hardest working vocalist, Ken Mac (with previous releases on
Cyberfunk & Funkatech) "United State of Mind" dreams of a better tomorrow, "It’s high time we put our hands up for all
mankind" Ha-ha! Yeah, whatever. The track’s a biggie, expect to hear its sun-soaked blessings belting out of cars
all summer.

Gangsta’s reppin’ thus far:

Aquasky, Freestylers, Stanton Warriors, Meat Katie, Distortionz, Breakfastaz, Future Funk Squad, , Deep Impact,
Autobots, DJ Mutiny, Control Z, Ollywood, Ed209 (natch!)
Baobinga. Uuunnnggh!

Maybe if they did do something together they could perhaps wear those glasses that have lights on the side that plumbers and electricians sometimes wear? :D
