Haven't been here for a while, so thought I'd drop by and say hello. What are you lovely people up to?

Hello Jane, long time no etc.
Still lurk here now and again, busy working and trying to balance doing up our house and digging the allotment all at once!
How are things with you?

hey
not a lot to tell, the first half of my 2008 was very quiet but i intend to make the second half more interesting. my health has been improving just lately and i'm trying some new things to hopefully improve it moreso, so with a bit of luck i'll be out being productive/mischievous sometime soon.
in other news, i picked up "the box" cd in a charity shop today. i also got "the best dance album in the world... ever!", circa 1993, from another charity shop, and am looking forward to getting some laughs and some happy memories from that one
what's new with you?

Hi!
Let's see...
We spent two weeks in Canada in June
I finished my Dutch lessons
And now I'm waiting for the schools to reopen in August so I can find out if anyone will let me in to start a social work degree in September
That's about it, really...

Aw nice to see some things don't change Mem
Ooh Canada, home improvements, health improvements, allotments & the Box - lucky you lot!
I am good too - keeping myself busy as ever hopefully starting a degree in Sept (whilst still working full time and doing all the other stuff!)
And the sun is shining

Community empowerment Mem - it might be a bit like teaching me to suck eggs (that's a weird saying isn't it but I hope you get what I mean...)

Why is that a past time you are proficient in?
I meant the egg thing and not the course!
Anyway lets hope it teaches you what you want to learn and that the course isnt money for old rope.
I've steered clear of furthering myself for a bit... Might be time to exercise what is left of the grey matter soon, before it all whittles away.
