Rank your favourite Orbital Albums in order

Anyone interested in posting their favourite Orbital Albums in order...

Mine would be as follows based on number of plays

1. Snivilisation (no filler, superb from start to end especially kein trink wasser, I wish I had duck feet, attached, philosophy by numbers and the 'scaffolding tour' was superb)

2. Middle of Nowhere ( not all good but does contain the best Orbital track(s) ever in my opinion which is Way Out into Spare Parts Express - these tracks were also superb live)

3. Insides (sort of snivilisation part 2, not enough tracks, best ones are The Box and The girl with the Sun in her head)

4. Brown (classic dance album, obviously Remind and Impact are the standout tracks)

5. Green (shows a glimpse of what is to come, Chime, Steel Cube Idolatry and Belfast standout)

6. Blue ( ok album, flame starting to fade, sounds like alot of softsynths used on this, You Lot is the best track and Pants is good)

7. The Altogether ( worst album and probably at their peak of popularity at the time, did like illuminate, tension and tootled)

There you go

Discuss.................

always a hard one..

i think mine goes:

Snivilisation
In sides
Middle of nowhere
Altogether
Brown
Blue
Green

but it might shift from time to time.
Sniv is great indeed. apart from quality seconds which was just wrong...
I did like Altogether, even tho it's strange.

Green i can't really listen, which is strange, because i do love all the old singles.. Omen, Deeper, LC2 (and 1) are all excelent tracks...

ask again in a month, it might have changed by then.

The older albums (brown, and also in sides) are more of a whole, whereas altogether and MoN are more song by song albums.. so it also depends how much time you have to listen :P

I think this has been discussed before, so it might be worth looking for the previous thread.

At the moment, mine is

Brown
In Sides
Snivilisation
Green
Middle of Nowhere
Blue
Altogether

I think I'm the only one on here who doesn't rate 'MoN' that highly.

EXACTLY!

Only joking Jane. I love you really

I genuinely don't rate it as an album.
There are some quality moments (Tension/Funny Break (thought I better mention that...I dont want another slap!...although I am quite enjoying them  ))/Tootled and Meltdown for me are the highlights).
IMO as an album its nowhere near as acomplished as the rest of the albums.
