latest bloom emailer update
Howdy Bloomers,
With only two and a half weeks till our festival we are blooming busy getting all of the last bits and bobs organised, and despite all of this horrible weather we've had lately, we do have some fab news to convey regarding Bloom:
1 :: FLOODLESS WONDER
We are pleased to let you know that our festival site has not been affected by the recent floods. The land we are using is situated on relatively high ground which drops away quite steeply at two sides. This means that any excess water soaks away quickly leaving no unexpected puddles, lakes or rivers where there should be big top tents and stages. We could certainly do with some sunshine so that the ground gets a chance to dry out, but other than that you'll be pleased to know it's looking fine and dandy!
2 :: 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE
We had a license for Bloom from the very start but recently applied for a special 24 hour extension, and are very pleased to announce that it has been granted. This means that we can run some of the smaller music stages into the wee hours of the night and will have a 24 hour chillout/cafe area which will be accessible throughout the event. We are really pleased about this and feel it will make the whole event a much more pleasurable experience for us all.
3 :: WIN FREE WEEKEND TICKETS
To celebrate our extended operating times we are giving away 25 pairs of tickets exclusively to our mailing list. All you have to do to win is email
competition@bloomfestival.com with "COME ON SUNSHINE" in the subject header as soon as you read this email to be in with a chance. Even if you have already bought tickets you can still apply so hit us back and come to Bloom for FREE!!
4 :: RECORD BREAKERS
On Saturday 11th August, Bloom Festival goers are invited to participate in an official Guinness World Record attempt. Hosted by the Thumbs Aloft DJs on the Main Stage, Bloomers will help to rewrite the history books by taking part in the world’s biggest game of Musical Statues EVER. The record currently stands at 260 so we think that we're in with a good chance of smashing it!! Look out for details in the festival programme "if you want to be a record breaker".
5 :: GODZILLA Vs KING KONG
Don't forget that Saturday is the official fancy dress day - do you know what you're going as yet?? There's only a couple more weeks to decide on your costume, so get it hired and join in the fun!
6 :: TANGERINE FIELDS
If you can't be bothered to lug your camping gear with you to the festival only to realise that you left the tent pegs at home, then why not let Tangerine Fields help. They will set up a brand spanking new tent for you which comes equipped with sleeping bags, airbeds and a variety of camping accessories. Head to
http://www.tangerinefields.co.uk and check out the ranges available and book online in advance. This really is the easiest way to slum it in style!
7 :: FRESH WEBBY
The more eagle eyed of you will have noticed that we have just launched a new look website. It took a little longer than expected to get up, but it looks top and does the trick nicely. We have been adding various bits to it over the last few weeks so have a look and see what you think. We've also got the forum working again and it's starting to come to life, so come and waste some office time chatting with other Bloomers.
8 :: TICKETS
