Sheep On Drugs return with their first studio album in 8 years ! Formed in response to the so-called 'second summer of love' by Duncan X and Lee Fraser, the splendidly named Sheep On Drugs set out to simultaneously mock and revel in the excesses of pop culture. Blending a mixture of sleazy rock, hard techno and punk nihilism into their own peculiar cabaret act of a rock n'roll band, they set out on tour with buckets of blood, syringes and a pulpit from which Duncan could rant at Punter ( as they termed the audience ), who lapped it up with a knowing postmodern acceptance of their own commodification. Now after an 8 year absence 'the most decadent band of all time' return with new album simply titled "F * * K" - a hailstorm of break beats, snarling vocals, heavy industrial guitars and techno all wrapped in the bands usual punk attitude.

Mega respect round these parts for Mister Fresh after his amazing 'Rap Records' book. This collection of tracks on his own Howlin' imprint find's him in old school party breakbeat territory. From the amazing latino sounds of 'Goza La' to the deep Roy Budd soundtrack breakstep of 'The Real Pro'. New school electro get's a look in with the italo sounds of 'Sling Shot' and even soulful detroit techno get's looked after with 'Random'. A top collection. Oh, and if you happen to catch this Mr Fresh, please repress Antron's 'Earthquake' 7" and make an old b-boy happy.

Now then. Skam are seriously heading back to classic territory here, both in terms of sound and concept. What you need to know is as follows : this monster 2-tracker has been delivered by an artist who wishes to remain anonymous, pressed up on completely blank vinyl inside a completely blank sleeve - only the vinyl inscription, blank tracing paper insert and braille sticker on the cover give you some suggestion that this is another in a long and impossible to obtain line of Skam titles released under cover of annonimity with no fuss, no promotion and not even a whiff of an idea about who the artist might be. The only clue offered up here is the music - two tracks of destroyed, squelchy, cut up and heavily tweaked ferocious ACID!!!!!!!!! We have 200 copies only in stock, order now or get yr hankies out for a sob later....<
