Slag-Off A Place

Go on, give your reasons for the worst place you know.

I'll go with Hull. A more depressing, pointless hole of a place would be hard to find in my book (& I've travelled reasonably far & wide).

I was tempted to exempt Birminham from this to avoid another BigBrother bullying type affair. But Hull exists & therefore Birminham has some form of defence, so let rip on the dump of your choice (I'd avoid slagging off Liverpool as scousers seem to be unusually touchy about these things & have been known to opt for extreme violence, rather than debate in these matters - no matter how valid your point).

Seconds away - round one!

Staines.

Armpit of England. One horse town with smalltown locals, pubs and shops. If Hard Fi still live anywhere near there in 2 years time I'll eat my scabs.

Oh, and wherever Mucus lives...

A once a month visit to this place is enough for me

London.

Over-expensive. Over-hyped. Over-populated. Over-Congested. Over and out.

Really Dave? You have a problem with Monaco?

Blandover (Andover) - Nick named by the local people as Royston Vasey because you'll never leave. The worst thing is that there is nothing to do here, its full of Squaddies so going out in town is interesting in terms of fights a plenty but generally there is nothing to do here, too many scummy yer but no buts and chavs....granted it has its nice parts (hopefully where i live is one of them) but generally not a great place. But hey i live and work here so I make the most of it. One benefit is that you are literally 5mins form the countryside and can escape for a few hours. Given a choice I'd move back to Bournemouth but there just aint the work for me there.

If you had a pad in Monaco, we'd be shagging by now...

It's the very thought of the vague possibility of your scabby self wanting to shag me (you love the one you hate!) that made me get the hell out of the way & suffer a life on the Riviera!

'Come friendly bombs, and rain on Slough'

Say no more, Mr Betjeman, I'm with you.

Miserable shitehole. I had to work just over the river from it in Windsor for 5 years, and every time I had to go near the place I just felt dirty.

And Muke, I love Hull. Really quite vibrant, full of history, great pubs, and friendly people. York without the Romans, really.

About the only thing going for it is the fact that it's got (or had?) a Mars factory... :)

There was a reason why The Office was based there!

+1

hayling island, where i'm from. nothing to do. gradually becoming more and more full of old folks' homes. shitty and fucking ridiculously overpriced bus service to get off the island (yes there's a road bridge), and the nearest city to go out in is portsmouth. which is fucking dire itself.

and my family wonder why i'd rather stay in nottingham...
