The long awaited MadOrb project seems to be coming into fruicion- Mad Professor and the Orb play together, live at this summer's Beautiful Days festival - UK. Wish I was there, but instead am hosting a stage at this year's Masterpeace Festival- http://www.themasterpeace.com on the same weekend.

Some more stuff on the Transit Kings:

this is very travelling stuff and a great honour that malicious damage has been chosen to haul the first few carriages for transit kings...
they may well change lanes at a later junction but for now it's life on the hard shoulder with the malicious crew...

so what's it all about?

it's simple really

it's a meeting of the grandmasters

it was always going to work

combine jimmy cauty's lifetime of pioneering, the ear scratching sonics of alex paterson, the unrivalled pedigree of guy pratt and musical glue courtesy of dom beken and what do you get?

transit kings

between them, they share a desire to give one in the eye to anyone who thought they knew what was coming next and the token ep is their beautifully crafted, speaker-punishing debut transit kings claim to have split up twice and reformed 4 times already... you do the maths, it may well be fabrication, but the truth is we're talking about the combined creative output of some of electronic music's most esteemed and revered pioneers, joined by guests including the legendary johnny marr and simon day...

on token we have 5 spiky, taken-to-the-limits mini masterpieces as an introduction to transit kings and a taster of things to come on the album - now close to completion...

and as the sun sets over the former projection room of ealing studios, tk continue their war on mediocrity and the unnecessary use of the words "war on...", smashing boundaries, igniting imaginations

"america is currently not available in its original form... oh shit... meantime, watch those girlz go like a duck" - transit kings, 2005

token ep
MD602 £10+p&p
oh shit/america is unavailable/japanese cars/
west end of a duck going east/magic
=================================
to celebrate the arrival of transit kings
we're awarding a gold medal to the first 500
passengers who buy token ep from the malicious damage site

=================================

token ep is not released until 20.06.05
but you can order it now

Yup, it used to be Bjorn's orbsession as well, until he went AWOL from the internet (or rather, got a life)! :P
