I'm going to Fuji Rock next weekend
There are loads of acts I haven't heard of so if any of you could shed any light, your recommendations would be appreciated...

Check out the Transit Kings. They were really good at last year's Big Chill.

Well I spotted Birdy Nam Nam there, and even though I don't know much about them,
this video that I already posted on the "funky scratchy goodness"-thread, shows that they have some serious talent.
I also saw KT Tunstall, who's on the list, perform live on TV the other day, and her act is kinda interesting. She's a one woman band who apparently builds her songs on loops of herself playing/singing which she records live during the act. You know, loop upon loop.
Here's a vid.

Trom:
Apologies if you are already familiar with the following, but:
Wolfmother are brilliant if you havent seem them before. Seen them 3 weeks ago at the Oxegen festival. Very Zeppelin, Sabbath, Thin Lizzy sound but done really well. Frankly, they fuckin rock the shop.
Mogwai are excellent too. Coincidentally, i had them on my mp3 player this morning going into work. I dont have their new album but all their other stuff is instrumental melodic rock with spordic bursts of sonic mayhem. They're meant to be excellent live, so i'd definitly check em out if i was there.

You'd usually expect an ex-skateboarder to create some gnarly, shouty funk rock but Tommy Guerrero plays some of the loveliest, laid back not-a-care-in-the-world guitar strumming you're likely to come across.

I'm sure you know them already, but Super Furry Animals are great live. And Rinocerose always used to be as well - five guitarists on top of fun house beats. And Wolfmother. They're great. I saw the Mystery Jets last night and they were pretty good too.
