hi, did anyone else go to this amazing gig of Fatboy Slim. If anybody did then i'll leave a review. It was definately worth travelling up from Tamworth for it.
If you didn't and haven't heard much about it, sign in at themixingbowl.org and torrent it. The set was fantastic, and rumours have it, that Norman Cook is having two years off so this set along with global gathering and V is it for a shoer while.
check it out

didn't go, but if you fancied leaving a review anyway i'd be interested to read it. if it sounds good then i might even get it from tmb

saw the fatboy at glasto last year, was all good fun, but didn't move me in the way that some sets did. but really would be interested in your honest opinion of this time around - sounds like you enjoyed it

well, the venue was picture esq with it being situated at the bottom of the loch sorrounded by hills with beautiful trees on top. the venue was on a slight incline so that even if you were at the back of the crowd, ontop of the hill, you had a perfect view of the stage and the valley and loch behind.
the music started at 12pm were dj hal kicked things off with a general pumping house feel to things. sounded ok although dance music as a whole i find tedious and boring. from 13:30-15:00 cadge baby did a really good dj set with some of his own that really warmed the crowd up. Then from 15:00-16:30 Audio Bullies were supposed to be doing a set but due to them being late cadged baby was more than happy to carry on for the duration. Around 16:00-16:30 Slam made an appearance, the next group on the bill. After forgetting to mix in the first song to the next they continued to play a good set. Fearing the same old throughout the day i decided to check out the other stage (tent) where i think i was watching stanton warriors who was doing a really good hip hop type set. was rather enjoying it. went out to get water then noticed that Audio Bully's were playing on stage so went to see a rather shortened set which was a nice mix of live performance and dj ing. From there Mylo came on but i really had no wanting to see him so went back to the tent where i watched the whole scratch perverts set. Again was a brilliant set mixing old skool hip hop with modern hip hop/beastie boys/chemical brothers and the old classics like nirvana/ blur/ rage against the machine. Unfortunaletly though their set was cut sshort by 20 minutes due to a power cut. Would of liked to of stayed round to see X-press 2 (dj set) but decided to go watch carl cox as Fatboy Slim was next. Carl cox was ok but just sounded like a radio dj and a bit commercial. (everyone keeps raving on that he is a ledgend).
On cue Fatboy Slim came on with full visualls starting of with the intro to Pendulum's slam where the map zoomed in to brixton then out to loch ness (google earth style).
the highlights of the set had to be automatics- monster (Fatboy Slim edit) "what's that coming over the hill, is it a monster. is it a monster"...... fits hey!!
in all it was a brilliant set and worrth the travelling for. Can't see no harm in going to the mixingbowl for a look.
this was the track listing.....
