What Are You Listening To Now?

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

I found the song!
That I've been trying to find since Glastonbury!

Banco de Gaia - Not in my Name

Heard this played live and it blew my mind, so pretty (esp. second half). Didn't know the name of the track though so I've been going through everything Banco to try and find it.

tiefschwarz ft. tracey thorn - damage.
after i'd been having the millionth conversation with whoever would listen about what the fuck tracey thorn was up to these days, i wandered into hmv in my lunch break and spotted this on their free playlist cd. of course too skint to buy an album to get the free cd. soon after the tiefschwarz album appeared in the shops, but was too skint to buy that too. hit soulseek up, the album was all over it but only 8 tracks not including this one. frustrating.
then i found it on djdownload.com. then i listened to it and enjoyed the song but wasn't particularly moved by the music. since then i've listened to it several times and it's growing on me more and more.
just as well there's not an essay like this for every tune on this thread or we'd have caned all of loopz's server space

Pendulum - Hold your colour

Finally got the full album yesterday and have to say i am very impressed, not being a massive d&b fan i was unsure as to how much i would enjoy this and also wondered whether it would make it out of the confines of my car stereo into a more chilled "lounge" environment...well it has! Prob not everyones cup of tea but there is a good mixture of havin it beats, breaks and more chilled but powerful bass tracks. Love the Gene Wilder willy wonka sample too. 8)

aimee - i will have to listen to that song.

I've been listening to a Depeche Mode album each day (on the way to and from work). Exciter yesterday and today was Music for the Masses. There is one track on the Exciter album that just oozes of LFO noises and for some reason it wasnt that obvious before (and yes i know Mr Bell produced it before anyone says it) :)

Aimee, that Lawler Essential Mix is rather splenid. Listened to the first half yesterday.

Currently listening to Underworld "Do You Scribble" Live @ Exit Festival 2005, a rather bloody fantastic new Underworld tune.
