memly, for me saying that is easy, since Tunnel Vision is no particular favourite of mine, I rate stuff like you lot, easy serv, bath time and lost higher.
the pants/tunnelvision/oneperfectsunrise department doesn't do much for me, although it's obviously d-a-n-c-e-a-b-l-e.
perhaps, if it were on a real album, ignition would start to bug me, but as a curiosity it's enjoyable. So in fact I agree with you in that it sounds like it's meant to be accompanied by visuals or something.
That said, i stand by my original praise.

Tunnel Vision
IS my favourite track off Blue, but then again I love Ignition to bits as well...
And I definately wouldn't say that Sinner is a BigBeat track, mainly because the bass beat, no matter how "big", is your thumpy all four to the floor, housey type, instead of a more oomph-breaksy one. Amazing track nevertheless.
I like to think of the categories and genres the way Ishkur puts them (here's the link again:
http://www.ishkur.com ), even though his guide isn't completely accurate... And if you look up Hard House there, The Sinner most certainly isn't that either. I'd call it Progressive House, like I call every song with a house beat that is more complex than other house and that I can't fit into any other genre...

(I've been known to mix-up hard house with progressive house in my recent posts too, so don't mind them)
Then again Orbital's music is usually pretty damn hard to categorize overall, which for me is just a good thing.

I almost started a thread to debate how Orbital should be categorised but I chickened out when I couldn;t think how to start it..
I've seen them categorised as breaks, techno, electronica, etc.
i think Loopz should tell us...

You could categorize them as a "progressive" mix of house, breaks and ambient with a bit of acid, experimentalism, techno and electro thrown in here and there...
And electronica doesn't really mean anything. It's just an umberella term for the artists of the late nineties "electronica" boom.

yuh it was one of those genres made up by journalists - especially in this case i think it was to sell to dumb americans when they were trying to lump together stuff like the prodigy, orbital, chemical brothers, underworld, to break over there.
but i get the impression from my dj mate that electronica is actually used now to mean a more specific genre. don't remember his brief description but didn't sound like my cup of tea.

Not seen any news regarding the 'Wipeout Pure' album (if there will be one) but expect things to happen around the September mark when the Sony PSP is pencilled in for a UK release...

Been playing Wipeout Pure quite a lot the last week. Very nice, though the higher classes run too quick for the frame-rate, which makes it tough at times. And the classic tracks are all done in that crappy Tron graphics style, rather than just looking like the originals. Grr. And they've implemented the autopilot really badly – it works out where it is too late, and it doesn't remove the collision detection with the track, as it did on 2097 (which was the whole point of the power-up).
Tune-wise, Paul Hartnoll's one's okay. Totally Orbital-by-numbers, but for a game that's allowed.

I like Jay Tripwire's one, Drummatic Twins and Cosmos's, and the Plump DJs one's pretty good – better than any of the tracks on their new album, to be honest. Aphex's tune is shit. If I was Sony I'd have sent it back and told him to spend more than 5 minutes on it next time.

I agree on all points Ed... Why the hell did they include the Aphex track?
...and the autopilot sucks donkeys!
