But why is Ben off the island?
I'm guessing from Jack's "we have to go back" comment not all were rescued, I really dont think Ben would have left over other 815 survivors.
Dont get me wrong its plausible it could be Ben but something tells me its not.
One thing I'd like to know is how long Jack and Kate have left the island for?
...And how Jack could grow a beard when razors are readily avaliable yet on the island he is clean shaven....what next Hurley with a six pack!!!

I don't think Jack wanted to go back to rescue more people. I think he figured he NEEDS the island now, to have a proper life, and he wants to go back for that. Or something, I don't know.
However... apparently, next season they are going to have both flashforwards and flashbacks, so we might see what happened on the island after the jamming was disabled, what happened before they got on the island AND what happens when they're off it - in the same episode.

I have been seeing/hearing all the promotion for the start of series 4 yesterday and it's really reignited my interest in Lost but as you know I don't have Sky so only got to see a little of season 3.
I don't suppose anyone has it & they could mail it to me??!! (I would reimburse!)
