What Are You Listening To Now?

I have mostly been revisiting Orbital albums this summer....

Although more on a pop tip I have loved the Vampire weekend Album and the Bill Calahan album!

I have found myself listening to lots of Miles Davis recently too, sounds great on a Sunday morning with my pipe and slippers.

M83 and the new David Holmes Albums have been getting plenty of airtime too.

And of course "Invaders must Die" when I am driving around!!

Well Memly, this week I have mostly been listening to:

Plaid - Heavens Door Soundtrack (wow!!) & Greedy Baby (also wow)
Bonnie Prince Billy - Ease Down the Road & Lie Down in the Light
Orbital - Out There Somewhere 1&2 and a bit of 20rbital too
Lots of 100th Window by Massive Attack too..

just recently i listened to all 3 Hybrid albums and all Hypnotix albums and after many years i dig up Marusha - Raveland!

I never thought that an album completely immersed with cricket themes could be so utterly enthralling. The fact that it is written and performed by two Irish blokes just adds to the piquancy. Even if you don't like cricket you should give it a twirl.

This dude likes his ambience dark and twisted, lots of detuned pianos and warbling reverbs... nice.

Also been listening to;

Sounds from the Ground, The Field, Plaid (Greedy Baby), Helios and a bit of Lady Gaga (Girlfriend keeps leaving it in the car).

Ah yes.
Murcof is great.

He should have a new album out soon. Oceano, i believe. He's already at O.. wonder what he'll do after the F album.

Also, try and check out Erik Truffaz & Murcof - Rendez-Vous Mexico. It's a colab from murcof with a jazz trumpeter (or vice versa)
also very nice.
