The Big Chill 2006

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Good question, as there's no Glastonbury this year, so tickets may well sell out faster than last year (around May)?

Which reminds me, I *must* get my tickets shortly! :)

Wahay, the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain again!!! worth the ticket price alone! I think I'll avoid those JCB bastards though ;)

Jane, nothing is confirmed about us being there at all. Far from it!

Poop

Post by jessopjessopjessop »

You guys are making me poop myself - partly with excitement and partly with worry at not having a ticket yet. I'm going to get right on it!

Regarding Nizlopi - I know that the JCB song is annoying, but the rest of that album is really very good. It's just shame they took the most cringeworthy, cheesey track off it for their first single. Don't hate them!

I'm hoping Nizlopi will clash with something... Probably a trip to 'Shaken Udder' actually ;)

I'm not too sure how many tickets have been sold but seriously folks if you wanna go, get 'em sooner rather than later.

More information than was strictly necessary, but yes if I get a chance I will. Mind you, I would be more interested if he was playing the Electric Picnic,
Of course, he's announced a gig in Dublin - I'm envious! :)
Well, you have to consider the amount of times I have wanted to throw the computer out the window when I see some of the gigs ye all get to see in Blighty

It sucks don't it

.....the Big Chill usually sells out about 2-3 weeks before the event. Though the point that Glastonbury isn't on is a fair one.

It's a blinding festival, so best just to get stuck in with a ticket I'd say.

Predictive

Post by jessopjessopjessop »

I'm going to throw out one of my great predictions for someone to play the Big Chill again.....

Long Range!

The LP release might coincide with the festival, and, judging by the Brighton festival gig, their ambitions for visuals and artistry woul fit right in to the eclectic and experimental Chill ambience...

Still, the deed is done - Sid, you going to book yours now? :)
