according to the Loopz 2001 tour page here the full setlist was:

Set List - Tension, The Girl With The Sun In Her Head, Last Thing, Funny Break (Weekend Ravers Mix), Belfast, Oi, Illuminate, Satan, Tootled, Are We Here?, Impact, Dr Who, Chime

of which, BBC played last night The Girl With The Sun In Her Head, Last Thing, Funny Break (Weekend Ravers Mix) and then Chime after the brief news.

direct link is: rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/6music/dreamticket_tue.ra (62mb) and the gig starts 1h30mins in. The stream is in 32kbps Stereo real audio version 8 so if you do download it and convert to mp3 its not worth encoding to anything higher than 96kbps.

All in all, an ever so slightly slow, slightly poor quality, slightly short recording. Its listenable though and encodes to 25mb @ 96kbps to give 4 tracks totalling 35mins. There are better bootlegs available but you gotta catch 'em all!

Nah it's the Weekend Ravers mix isn't it? Thought that was Orbital's own mix (and far superior to the single mix IMHO).

 Are you sure???

I'm willing to bet a wagon wheel, a blackcurrent flavour popsicle and a copy of Nutz with Abi Titmuss on the cover that it is. Match that sunny jim me lad. :D

Ha ha, well it doesnt get much better than a magazine with Abi Titmuss on the front does it??

However, I dont think you should say the weekend ravers mix is better than the original as you may offend a certain dollydagger.

Saying that tho, on the 2001 tour, when weekend ravers kicked in, it was time to grab a beer and take a piss - the only time when any one else had the chance of getting down the front.

DURING the gig?!

Are you MAD???

I can honestly say that I have never missed a second of any Orbital gig I've been to - though I don't fully remember some of them...

i wouldn't go so far as to take a piss while the concert is playing, but the weekend ravers version has never been my favorite.

they should've played beelzebeat, now that i would've wanted to hear live :D

Im don't know why everyone's shouting to get this broadcast coz it was played too slow! I think it sounds awful played like it is.

I'm gonna put on the original broadcast recording that was at the right speed.

:P

You're supposed to set an example, Loopz - I expect that's why they split - mass exodus when their latest tune starts.

Yes, it all makes perfect sense now...

But seriously, does it remind anyone else of You Lot?

I think it be the dog's bollocks, personally.

Nah i LOVE You Lot although it never really came across any better live (imho). Most tracks seemed to go somewhere better when played live and for me You Lot was equally sounding live as the studio version.

p.s. i am the last person to set an example. believe me :)
