The recent remake of 'Rollerball' again, with Chris Klien, JJ Cool J, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Jean Reno etc. It's a good film, a little flaky around the edges, but it nicely spins the original 'Rollerball' story 180deg without actually losing anything and it's a very good film... The Eric Serra score is superb too.

Uh... are you joking? I have to admit, I never watched it because I heard it was pure excrement. The 2.8 average rating on IMDB.com (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0246894/) supports these claims...
On a positive note, I watched Batman Begins tonight, and thought it was fantastic. Very well done.

Yup, as did I - first time that I had seen it, and thoroughly enjoyed it (Gene Hackman, Anjelica Houston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, Danny Glover, Bill Murray, and Alec Baldwin as the narrator).
Quirky, but enjoyable!

This is a bit off-topic but as anyone else been getting into '24' from the late night repeats of 2 episodes at a time from the 1st series every Friday night on BBC1?!
I've never seen it before but had heard some of the hype and I've been gripped! Even with 2 episodes in a row, I don't want it to end as I want to find out if Jack gets his family back safely!!
Great stuff!

The first season was brilliant. Stick with it to the end, you won't regret it.
Seasons two and three were good too (three moreso than two), but I have as of yet not gotten into season four. I will watch it through eventually, though.
Oh, and don't look up 24 on IMDB. There's a spoiler for season 1 there.

What I love the most about this new series of Battlestar Galactica is how dark it is. Not exactly upbeat, is it!

Churchill - the hollywood years
Funny in parts but seriously could have switched it off at any point and not been disappointed to have missed the ending!

Watched War of the Worlds yesterday.... it had its moments. I thought maybe it would be Spielberg with his "Jurassic Park" hat on, but I found it slightly boring and not as tense as some of the scenes in Jurassic Park ( I really like that film

).
That said though, I didnt think it was a complete disaster, Morgan Freeman cained the openinng dialogue though.
It just doesnt seem right unless Richard Burton is narrating it.
One thing I have been watching though... "Trailer Park Boys".
I thought it sounded like gay porn at first, but I was relieved to find out it was a Canadian mockumentary based around the antics of 2 ex-cons trying to scrape a living in a run down trailer park.
I have 4 series of this to watch (on Series 2 Ep 4) and I am really into it now... subtle and memorable characters who dont seem to over act. Very good indeed.
