What Are You Listening To Now?

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

ils - loving you (atomic hooligan remix)
really like the original, and this is a decent remix, with one problem for me - the main vocal sped up to breaks speed has that annoying wobble to it, reminds me of bad garage...
the other mix of the song i've got (dirt monkeys or something? don't have it to hand) is at the same kind of tempo but gets around this by hiding it with reverb, from what i remember...

layo & bushwacka! - chapter one
very nice & mellow 8)
my housemate got decks recently, so i've dug out my records, including this old l&b album "low life" that my brother gave me. just downloaded it too so i can get to know it in the comfort of my bedroom ;) nice to have some good mellower tunes on vinyl, most of the stuff i've bought so far is breaks.

Fischerspooner - Emerge
"You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really"
Nigel Tufnel talking about his song "Lick My Love Pump" - This Is Spinal Tap.
