np: goldie - inner city life (roni size & dj krust remix).
don't think i've ever heard it before. hm sounds ok so far, nothing spectacular.
then again, there's a breaks booty been doing the rounds that doesn't sound all that when you listen to it at home, but does damage to dancefloors

LMAO at Hippy Dave....you know those two tunes were just downloaded coz of their titles but they both turned out to be really good.

And on another acid tip...

currently listening to :

The Sandals "Feet" (Night Slam)

this is an old Slam remix from 1994 which is just huge!!!

Stylus have u heard this one before? bloody amazing.

I concur that the old Slam mix of Sandals is great. Richie Hawtin dropped it near the end of his set here in Sydney the other week, and it was a real 'moment' for the whole place.

Kashmere Stage Band - 'Scorpio'

Some dirty big band funk for yet another late night at the office.

paul hartnoll - intro.
as expected sounds a lot beefier than the website clip, but why the %(*! do people still release 128kbit/s mp3s?
might have to check for pennies down the back of the sofa, and see about buying the cd...

NOW PLAYING: Alex Smoke - Incommunicado

Great album, chilled techno and minimal beats to lush electronica. Came out a few weeks ago on Soma. Marvellous.

John Buzon Trio - Caravan (Eat Static Remix)

It's on this excellent album: http://www.discogs.com/release/44975

I wonder how come I haven't heard this CD mentioned here earlier, since it has for example mu-ziq, Meat Beat Manifesto, Utah Saints and Wagon Christ (Luke Vibert for those of you who don't know) among many others on it. Then again, I wouldn't remember since it was released in 1999. :)

I gotta give honorary mentions to Omni Trio and Uberzone too, who I think made some of the best remixes on this. :) Actually almost every song is top notch, except the awful sacriledge that Oldskool Gus Gus did to one of the best originals (The Good, The Bad & The Ugly) on there...
