“We’re also using new systems, a whole new update, which is exciting and scary at the same time. Finally computers have caught up with this ancient little box we used to sequence from.”
shame i would personally prefer to see them with the banks of analogue equipment-better to look at then laptops(e.g. kraftwerk)

how do we know what they are going to use? from that it sounds like they are replacing their mmt-8 sequencers, maybe they'll keep the other gear?

Sounds like it from the quote yes. Although i wonder how much was sold in that auction. it also says: We’re also using new systems. plural...
I just don't see orbital using just a laptop. It doesn't fit their style.
Although kraftwerk does it all the same....

I have a feeling the laptops will be off to the side some where being controlled with other devices.

But if you go to their website, it still says: “2004, the final year for Orbital.”

dont get me started on this. Even one of the mothers at Leah's school asked if the person from The Sun actually read anything on the website esp the news page! Whoever wroteit is probably some work experience wanna be NME journo!
I think you can interchange both jobs there...

Bah... I hate not having internet at home, I feel so out of touch..
I have to agree with Timbob, I like seeing all the analogue stuff. It would look wierd seeing them behind 2 laptops.
Hopefully it will be a combination of the two.
If its just the two laptops I think Paul n Phil should try and track down that dancer that they used on Top of the Pops to dance adjacent to them...

That might not be a bad idea. They could have done with a good backup a few years ago...
I can relate a lot of this to working in IT. Change is hard to accept but alas we all have to move onto the latest technology. Saying that i still refuse to use Vista!

I'm a bit confused (nothing new there then) what exactly did the Sun print - is there a link? I actually think I have Friday 13th's copy (if that's it?) in my recycling box as my BF brings 'em back most days from his building site, so shall have a look when I get home.
Ooh poor Poo, not having much fun on the school run

YES! Newcastle!
I was actually being pretty apathetic and not going to go to any of the gigs but if they're on the doorstep, I might well have to go.
