Actually Nick that's not strictly true. Anywhere association football is not the major field sport it is called soccer. Here and Australia spring instantly to mind. We have Gaelic Football and to us we drop the Gaelic. Australia has Aussie Rules, or footie in the vernacular. I have a feeling tis' the same in Sth Africa where thanks to apartheid, rugby until recently was the predominant field game.Nah, it's only Soccer in America - football everywhere else in the world!
