It's 6:20am! I'm off!
My brother and I have been singing bits of Kraftwerk tunes to each other for days now... wish he could come with me!
I'll be there in Chicago tomorrow!

A friend and myself will be heading downtown into Chicago to see Kraftwerk tomorrow! They were excellent the last time the came to town, and I'm hoping they minimize the tracks from "Tour de France Soundtracks"... it wasn't my favorite Kraftwerk album.
We're thinking of stoping in at the cinema to see Layer Cake before hand as well.

Oh that was so good.
Full review later, maybe... I'm bad for that sort of thing!
I was surprised to see almost NOBODY down on the floor even bobbing their heads... up in the balcony we could barely contain ourselves!

Are there any rumours for any dates in the UK at all later this year then? I'm desparate to see them, but can't really justify going abroad as am getting married in October.
Shit, that'd just about be my luck if they announce dates in October when I'm on my honeymoon!!! Arse.

They played the UK last year... 2x2 dates at Brixton Academy and also at the Royal Festival Hall.
I think this is a continuation of the same tour, so I doubt they'll come back here again.

Actually Dog, now you mention it, it is a little strange that they are back here so soon. They played here around the time of the Brixton gigs.

If further proof was needed of NME's steady decline into a sub-standard version of Look In, then last months dismissal of Kraftwerk as "weird Germans" whose only musical heritage was to have influenced the new Coldplay record (I kid you not), signalled the sound of Charon ringing last orders on the Hades Express...
well, I found it funny

Yeah, the similarities between a Kraftwerk track and 'Talk' by Coldplay is amazing, isn't it

I had heard a rumour that the Talk bit had inspired Kraftwerk to add Computer Love back to the live set.... no such luck

Notice that the Kraftwerk date at the Electric Picnic in Ireland has now been confirmed on the Kraftwerk site. So that does it - EasyJet for me off to Ireland. Actually, it's a great looking festival, especially with the marvellous Flaming Lips playing too...
