Depeche Mode

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

They opened on February 28th, when they played in Oslo.

Don't get your hopes up, they weren't all that great...
Hence my previous comment about them sucking...

Great, 45 minutes of the same boring guitar pop. Every song The Bravery have released sounds the same!!!
Sounds like a lot of the bands that the NME champions nowadays!

I can now confirm support is The Bravery and they are total turd on a string! The lead singer resembles Ten Pole Tudor and dances as if he's just had calipers removed.
Depeche Mode were completely amazing! Wish I was going again tonite. Martin Gore did come dressed as a Pokemon tho, very amusing.
Enjoy

I saw the Bravery last year because I paid about £2.50 for the tickets on ebay.
I felt sorry for them as people were chucking things at them, and I'm not talking about under garments!
They only performed for about 30 minutes.
They tried to copy The Killers anyway.
You look real great.

I've been at home for a large part of the day, I get called out mid afternoon and then I manage to get a nice electric shock from a PSU, smack my head against the underside of a desk in a proper 'Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em' stylee and now I feel utterly crap with a headache, so theres no way I feel up to seeing Depeche Mode tonight at Wembley...

F*cksocks!!!

Would love to, but it's not going to hit the sides, plus I still feel shaken fron the whole thing and my head really hurts.

It's not great loss, to be honest, I wasn't as fired up for it as I have been in the past...

I really enjoyed this outing just as much as previous gigs (seen them about 6 times over many years). This time around they do seem a little tired but i dont expect i will be jumping that much when i'm around Mr Gahans age!

I thought they had some really nice suprises as i never read any of the setlists etc. I will hold back on mentioning tracks just in case you dont want to know but one beauty of seeing Depeche Mode live is hearing Martin Gore do a couple of solos. His voice is just amazing and you really get to hear how good it is.

:) You will love it.

My highlight of the Violator tour was Gore's solo tracks - just him and an acoustic guitar...

Bugger, wish I'd got tickets now!!!
