i've read catch 22 twice... the first time was when my dad lent me it during a family holiday when i was fairly young... don't know how young exactly but i remember i wasn't too far into the book before i had to ask my dad, "daddy, what's a whore?" - pronouncing the w obviously
and read it again a couple of years ago or so, so i could appreciate it properly
i didn't think too much of the film, incidentally.

Not seen the film either, it was by chance I came to start this book, but it's crazy how we (I) use phrases without knowing the true history of them & where they were coined.
After finally moving into my new (and first) house...i have started to read The Guv'nor - Lenny McLean's autobiography.
He's a bit of a double ard bastard!

Looks absolutely gorgeous and someone's been looking at a LOT of Designers Republic stuff...
That sounds like something that would interest me Dog, where did you get it?

Ian MacDonald - Revolution In The Head : The Beatles' Records and the 60's.
Lots and lots of anal details about their recording sessions, techniques they used to revolutionise modern music, and the effect of their music on the 60's 'scene'. Fantastic book. So much information I feel like this is the first time I've read it despite reading it once before.

I love books like that Rich, where you get more and more out of them the more you read them...
The VJ book is more of a coffee table volume, along with Banksy's 'Wall and Piece', so I think I'll probably actually READ '45' again, because I want to.
