Damn good DJ set - well done lads! :D

On a Mylo related note, you might be interested to know that there are several Rex The Dog mixes of "Drop The Pressure" out there, including these mixes:

Rex the dog clean radio edit 4.51
Rex the dog dirty radio edit 4.51
Rex the dog clean club mix 7.03
Rex the dog dirty club mix 7.03
Rex the dog dirty club dubb 6.50

I was offered the above promo CD-R for 75 quid, but that's a bit too much for me...

Now I know Rex is a prolific bloke and very telented with the remix scalpel, but thats pushing it a little isn't it?

Tell me about it... The guy has reduced it down to 60 quid for the CD-R...

Hmmm....

If I was a rich man.... :P

Thats a lot to pay for what are essentially 3 different mixes. The dirty/clean ones will be identical apart from the Mylo lyric.

Yeah, too much money....

I've already got the Rex The Dog mix (Dirty) on the "Doctor Pressure" CD single...

I think I'll pass on this one and use the money saved on beer! :D

Well, you can also see the video via the BBC's website here - like the top of the fire truck, lads!

They also have this to say about it:

"And finally, soundclash skullduggery goes overground with the release of Doctor Pressure (Sony) by ‘saviour of dance music’ Mylo. An unholy marriage betwee Mylo’s huge Release The Pressure hit and Miami Sound Machine’s 80s dancefloor classic Doctor Beat, the track was originally spliced together by underground cut’n’shut duo Phil and Dog, but has been polished up by Mylo and given a full, legally-sound release for those of us unable/unwilling to buy dodgy bootleg vinyl from darkened, unwelcoming dance music emporiums."

:D

So - are you getting any dosh out of this? I though they were going to include one of the original bootlegs on the single?

If they are using your bootleg then you will get boat loads of PRS as well! Nice to see someone getting your names right :)

I just bought it – and from HMV too, just to make sure it registers on the chart. :)

Mylo's mix is a bit half-arsed, isn't it? Lame the way he just swings the bass from Drop The Pressure in and out whenever it doesn't match up with Dr Beat. At least Phil & Dog's mix had the balls to just go completely out of tune every now and then. :P Vocals sound much better, but surely he could have made some effort to create something a little more integrated, seeing as he had the masters of both tunes and not just MP3s. Meh.

The Rex The Dog mix is ace. Gets a bit *too* Mylo at the end, but still very smart. Stanton Warriors mix is a crock of shit though. Worst thing I've ever heard them put their name to.

Good luck getting it to number 1, boys. I'm sure it'll happen. 8)

Midweek chart sales figures are in...

NEW ... 1 ... 18,459 ... DON'T CHA ... PUSSYCAT DOLLS FT BUSTA RHYMES
NEW ... 2 .... 4,790 ... FIX YOU ... COLDPLAY
.. (1) ... 3 .... 4,589 ... DARE ... GORILLAZ
NEW ... 4 .... 4,380 ... DOCTOR PRESSURE ... MYLO VS MIAMI SOUND MACHINE
.. (2) ... 5 .... 2,972 ... THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKIN' ... JESSICA SIMPSON

As for money n' stuff, why would we get PRS? None of our work is on the bootleg, just Mylo and Gloria Estefan/Miami Sound Machine.

Yes i did ask the question "IF they are using your bootleg". So they aint using your bootleg so you wont get any PRS. Shame as PRS is always a good ongoing earner. I used to print the cheques for them many moons ago and was suprised what people got paid for the most random of things.
