Ha!

It's 106 miles to Chicago.
We got a full tank of gas,
half a pack of cigarettes.
It's dark and we are wearing sunglasses

Re: What's The Last Film You Watched?
Bride Wars - it was a pile of rubbish... I really had sympathy for the guys in the audience that had been dragged along by their girlfriends/wives to see this...
Revolutionary Road - loved this film about a young couple and the dark side of the American Dream , is is quite intense and hard work in some places but still thoroughly enjoyed it, top pairing of Leo and Kate ... superb but the film wouldn't have been the same without the haunting melodies of Mr Thomas Newman running through it, adds to the intensity
Frost/Nixon - really good film!!

Umm, my first post and i'm here complaining
. Oh well, here goes, last film i saw was The Wrestler. And it was pants. I'm sorry , all this Mickey Rouke oscar talk..., the guy pretty much grunts through the entire film, bit like Stallone in Rocky. And the story is just sooo obvious
. Thats just my opinion ofc

We're all entitled to our opinions pdmanx. I wouldnt judge you as a complainer just because you disliked a film...
I went to see Slumdog Millionaire and it was great. Having visited Mumbai a few years ago, I was reminded at what a deprived city it was and how evil poverty can make you to survive. Anyway I loved it and it was blatant that it was a Danny Boyle Film; great editing/angles, lovely music...
As for "Hitman", christ that was AWFUL!

Cannonball Run 2 - I will argue with anyone who dare says that this is not as good as Slumdog....

Saw "Watchmen" on Monday night. Having never read the comics beforehand, I must say I was pretty impressed. Great fight scenes, messed up superheroes and a big blue penis = one fucked up film.

Shanky, shanky Jose!

Re: What's The Last Film You Watched?
Christ I had to save this thread from obscurity... it was nearly on page 3.
I watched Hellboy 2 last night and I loved it; its quite hard to follow... especially if you cant remember the first one, but it was certainly obvious that it was a Guillermo Del Toro film thats for sure.
Luke Goss almost recreated exactly the same role that he had in that Blade film (cant remember which one), but the creatures were fantastic and the humour was quite amusing. A very daft film, but its meant to be!
I also watched the new Harry Potter which I thought was very good, and the timeless classic "Duel" which was on ITV 3 the other night.

Re: What's The Last Film You Watched?
last night i watched "8 mile" on tv, which i've seen before, and which was.... ok.
the other night, also on tv, i watched "hackers", which was brilliant/terrible
massive bonus points for the soundtrack of course
last trip to the cinema was on monday, to see "ice age 3" in 3d
- the film was as great and funny as the first two, and i was very much impressed with the 3d. recommended

Re: What's The Last Film You Watched?
Saw Inglourious Basterds last Wednesday. Not bad at all. A masterpiece that needs a second viewing to really get it I think. Brad Pitt is bloody brilliant though!
