Led a training programme today for a couple hours, then manned the ERC service desk for an hour, then went to another location to sit through a 3 hour presentation on workplace violence given by the local police. Let me tell you, the situation was a bit sad - a seminar room filled with mostly middle-aged women and one officer in his 30s. "Constable, why didn't the police do anything when a teenager ripped a branch off of our ornamental tree?" "Oh, Constable, if you return books while you're wearing your uniform, I'll waive your late fines."

God I hate all that.
I've just been on a "how to deal with abusive employees" and a "discipline at work" course.
B o r i n g b o r i n g b o r i n g B o r i n g b o r i n g b o r i n g
Mind you the lunch they laid on was first class. I even got to take home a bag full of lush food
Made the course almost worth it.
