Top 10, off the top of my head (like so many other list before and after this  ):

1. Halcyon+on+on+on+on+on+on+on+on

Hard to go against a classic.

2. The Box

Orbital's dark and twisted version of "Tubular Bells".

3. Little Fluffy Clouds

Oh, wait...

3. Style

It's cheesy, it's goofy, it's LUVERLY! Perfect Orbital wink-and-nod tune.

4. Attached

Pure Orbital Ambience! ~float~

5. Are We Here?

Hey! D&B before it existed! Those Orbital guys are ahead of their time! :D Plus vocals from Allison Goldfrapp don't hurt it any.

6. Planet of the Shapes

A personal "black sheep" of my favorite Orbital tunes.

7. Sad But True

Another Goldfrapp-enhanced track!

8. Chime

Still a standout track for its cheeky but cool rhythm and melody.

9. Belfast

Another amazing symbiosis of etheral female voices + techno.

10. Know Where To Run

The best of the Orbital "belter" tracks.

Without a shadow of a doubt my favourite Orbital track is P.E.T.R.O.L (The original mix from the original wipeout game) it's perfect in evey sense of the word to me. It's always been my fav Orbital track and always will be. The album version is fantastic as well, it's only slightly different to the other one. But the way the wipeout version ends still sends shivers down my spine, it just seems to go on forever! Fantastic!

I also like Remind, Attached and Tension alot.

bolly, do yo realize you triple-post always when you say you double post? :) anyway...

I've been compiling a 2-cd Ultimate Best Of Orbital Collection: CD1 is titled "In Orbit" & CD2 is called "Exorbitant Chill". (Aren't I clever? krhm.) The first CD comprises the more dancefloor oriented tracks, while the latter CD is an 80-minute long chill out.

I intend to post more details soon, so you may compare.
The interesting thing, you see, is that I fitted 38 tracks (!) on 2 cds by cutting them down - some tracks by a few minutes off the end, some tracks by snippeting all the relevant sections into a kind of ad hoc "radio mix" of 3-5 minutes length.

Some tracks are just for inclusiveness: For example there's a 4 minute Satan Spawn (with added "bring on the f*cking Bon Jovi!" live intro ), mixed SEAMLESSLY into pooka's favourite Tootled, or more precisely into its last two minutes!

Thus I get a 6-minute killer hardcore heavy techno track!

So, anyway, my favourite tracks... Well, tough call.

In the "full thrust" vein, I'd say it's a tie between Way Out, Spare Parts Express and Sad But True.

In the chillout section, something between Dwr Budr, OTS, Forever, I Wish I Had Duck Feet... and Sad But True again! So the first three tracks off Snivilisation, plus the latter part of In Sides - Adnan's is neat too, especially the clever background melodies. I also like the short "Adnan" version on the Help album, with the news audio clip.

But I guess Sad But True remains a perennial favourite, mixing the chill out with the all-out.
It's a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake

Kind of changes depending on my mood, but at the moment my top ten is thus (in no order):-

1) Forever
2) Out There Somewhere Part 2
3) The Girl With The Sun In Her Head
4) The Tranquiliser
5) Adnans (Insides Version)
6) Halcyon (Raddicio Version)
7) Transient
8) Kein Trink Wasser
9) Attatched
10) Lost

From the list you can gather that I'm digging the more chilled Orbital tracks at the moment....
