It may just be me, but this seems to happen coming into weekends in particular. Thus the reason it don't get fixed until America wakes from its hangover on Mondays probably.

oh so really you never missed this place Aimee...right :
Its not the forum that went down (or anything to do with the forum itself)...its the SQL Server that went down. This is where the database is for the forum and the shop. We have moved SQL server on two occasions and this is most stable server we have had so far. They still go down on occasions though...
