When is everybody arriving? Where is everybody camping? Are you going to pitch your tent in your favourite spot or shall we try and create some kind of Loopz village somewhere?
Also how are you getting there - I was thinking of hiring a car but that seems waaaay to expensive. I'll probably get a coach from London, unless anybody has got space for 2 in their car? I have a car parking ticket if that helps. And some money.
Any top tips for items to pack? From going to T in the Park last year I can highly recommend earplugs (but just for sleeping obviously).
I'm going from London via Bath, arriving on Thursday.
I am all for the creation of a Loopz village, camping with more people is always fun. I liked where we were last year (up the hill and a bit to the right from the Pyramid) but am always open to suggestions and change.
Additions to my packing list this year:
A little folding stool to sit on, in case of wet ground
A warmer fleece jacket and a toque, I was chilly at night last year
A flashlight (totally forgot last year)
As for earplugs, I bring them to anything involving music. Despite the fact that I've always worn them, I have a bit of ringing in my ears, not good!
Ooops. Sorry Embryo - didn't see this before I set up another thread in the Music forum.
We're going on Thursday, about lernchtime.
Went on Wednesday last year and had to queue to get in - people seem to be going earlier every year...
BTW, the first 'official' event we went to last year was on Thursday in the 'pub' in the Jazz World field where they has a Madchester/Hacienda night - DJs - Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets), Hooky, Bez (I think?), + others. Best received tune of the night? You KNOW it...
Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic?
Unless you plug the wires directly into your skull, at the end of the chain is a set of speakers pumping back-and-forth turning ANY signal into analogue waves..."
I'll be there, with a cast of two others, even though I don't know where I'll be camping just yet, but I do know I'll be there on Thursday, hopefully, all by myself because my co-actors will be descending on the Wednesday, but this is okay because I'm a rock star, but yeah, Thursday, which is only a week away, EXCITEMENT, and I am getting there via a dirty red peew-gout 106, while listening to AC/DC, Orbital, Le Tigre and The Blues Brothers all the way
Kelvin, will you or somebody have a phone or something, cause it would be fab to catch up with y'all!
